My strong admiration for Martina Hingis
has brought me to Hingis.Org back in January 2002.
This is a poem I've written for her one month after I joined Hingis.Org.
- M - is for the MELODY that your smiles create
A - is for the ART in your game that you project
R - is for the RHYTHM in that melodious art
T - is for the TALENTS entwined within such craft
I - is for your INTELLIGENCE beneath all that
N - is for your NEARNESS to us 'though you're far
A - is for our ADMIRATION for you, our SUPERSTAR !!
Since then, there's no looking back.
Yes, I'm thoroughly enjoying coming here, talking with people, and I've made many friends.
Indeed this is a great opportunity given to us by Webmaster Markus
to create a homepage right here.
Markus' leadership is one reason why I've stayed around for a long while now.

A is for your ATTRIBUTES that we see through this Board
R is for your READINESS to help us when we’re in need
K is for the KINDNESS to hear us as you lead
U is for the UNITY through Hingis.Org that you generate
S is for the SATISFACTION through Hingis.Org that you create.
As you can see, I like writing little verses.
I have written long poetry, too.
My nativeland is the Philippines, southeast of Asia,
where vibrant urban life greets one on one side
and a serene rustic environment on the other,
where a mixture of races abounds,
where English is a language easily understood and spoken,
where cultures are rich and colourful,
and where people are warm and friendly.
- For many years now, I've been living in Australia,
an amazing and awesome country ... a continent in itself.
This is my home now ...
and I consider myself a truly fortunate Filipino-Australian.

This is the city of Perth, Western Australia.
My family and I live in a suburb about twenty minutes from the city centre.
This is the world-renowned Sydney Opera House, New South Wales, east of Australia.
Sydney was my first port of entry into Australia,
where I worked and then met Denis, the most fantastic man in the whole world.
We got married in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England,
where he got his first job after he obtained his PhD degree from Sydney.
We came back to Sydney and raised a family there .....
until we moved to the mining sector of Western Australia.
Since 2000, we've been establishing our home in Perth.
We've had our share of travelling, though not that frequently,
other than England where we got married and lived for over a year.
While in England, we went to neighbouring Scotland,
and crossed the Channel to go to Paris, France.
We've also been to New Jersey, NewYork, and twice in California - USA.
A couple of years ago, we went to Rome, Italy,
and in March 2003 to Helsinki, Finland.
My interests other than Hingis.Org are :
painting landscapes, portraits, still life (oil and watercolour);
French language most of which I've forgotten;
collecting (inexpensive) porcelain Victorian dolls;
writing poetry and story; playing golf, table tennis, pool; gym;
reading; watching TV and listening to music;
and just looking after the family.
I guess you can call the latter as duties ....
but to me, they're not merely my duties
but are top in my list of interests.
As many of my friends at Hingis.Org know,
I am a Christian.
I love God the Father,
and because He has sent His Son Lord Jesus
to earth and has given Him full authority,
I've chosen to receive Lord Jesus into my heart
and follow Him all the days of my life.
